Really haven't liked the song selection so far, haven't gotten all the way through the game like I did with World Tour. It's not bad per se, but just not my cup of tea. And I thought I'd like it because I enjoy Aerosmith as a band.
Guitar Hero: Aerosmith is an Aerosmith fan's dream come true, but the game's narrow focus and lack of content will prove unappealing to the average GH player. If you're a Guitar Hero-loving Aerosmith fan then go and get it already. For everybody else, it could be one to miss go get Band Hero. :)
An older Guitar Hero game and that is just what it is. The game is ok, I played it once since I got it and haven't play it since. After playing the newer versions of GH, this one here does have a "dated" game play. If you like Aerosmith, you will like playing the game for the music.
Overall this is a fun game just disappointed there wasn't more Aerosmith songs included.Could have been much better. ;-(
Guitar hero is guitar hero. are NOT in this game. the final song - the one you work the whole game to unlock is (drumroll)."Train Kept a Rollin."What gives. You just push a button and strum when the corresponding icon passes the bar at the bottom - no matter how you spin it. Did Activision not want to lay out the dough, hoping suckers like me would just see the name "Aerosmith" and buy the thing. It DID include "Dream On," "Livin on the Edge," "Love in an Elevator," and "Sweet Emotion," but is four songs worth the money. Therefore, the only reason to buy new games is for new songs.I am a huge Aerosmith fan, so I was pretty psyched about getting to "play" all their songs. The concept is relatively hard to improve on beyond different graphics or scenarios. Just so you know.
Unfortunately, I purchased this without checking the song list. I assumed that if the game was centered around Aerosmith that it would, at the very least, include all their top hits."Amazin," "Crazy," "Cryin," "Janie's Got a Gun," "Angel," "Don't Want to Miss a Thing," "Jaded". Does Aerosmith not own the rights to their own songs. If you can get it for $5 or less, you can call it an even deal. But my advice is my lesson learned - CHECK THE SONG LISTS.
